The UniTartu Summer School takes place from 28 July to 11 August 2024 in the vibrant city of Tartu. We are inviting everyone to submit their applications by 30 April 2024.
The UniTartu Summer School, formerly known as the University of Tartu International Summer University, offers 11 high-quality summer courses in various fields, such as IT, Business, Humanities, Medicine, Science and Technology, Politics and Social Sciences, and International Relations. Notably, we have added four new courses: Civic Competence in Creative Cities, Patient-Centered Communication, Computer Vision in Space and Secessionist, and Statehood Bids in Times of Crises to broaden participants’ learning opportunities. Visit our website for the complete list of courses.
Applicants need to submit a scanned transcript of academic records, a copy of their passport, a motivation letter and an online application. Additionally, there is a non-refundable application fee of 25 EUR, which allows participants to apply for up to two summer courses. Applicants can expect to receive a decision on their application within ten days after applying.
For those who apply before 29 February 2024 (Early Bird) and for students who have previously participated in our summer school, we are offering a discount of 10%. There are scholarships available, such as Estonian National Scholarships, scholarships for students from ENLIGHT partner universities, and DAAD scholarships for German students (only for two courses). Applicants must submit separate applications for both the summer course and the scholarship. We are also offering a partial tuition fee coverage for the ten best applicants.
In addition to academic activities, the summer school offers a range of social events. These activities allow participants to explore Estonian culture, network, and enjoy memorable experiences with fellow attendees. Some events, such as International Night, Movie Night, a city tour, a visit to the university’s Botanical Garden, a Scavenger Hunt, and the closing reception, are already included in the course fee. Additionally, all participants will receive a free combined ticket to visit three UT museums: the University of Tartu Art Museum, the Old Observatory, and the University of Tartu Museum. For an additional cost, participants can join a trip to South Estonia to see the amazing, unique nature of Estonia.
