The internationally recognized higher education analytics and consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published its latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, in which the Estonian University of Life Sciences is ranked 43rd globally in agriculture and forestry.

This position confirms the university’s strong standing in the international research and higher education landscape and reflects the high quality of both its research and teaching.

This year, a total of 1,129 universities worldwide were evaluated in the field of agriculture and forestry. In 2026, the ranking is led by Wageningen University in the Netherlands, a valued cooperation partner of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, followed by the University of California, Davis, and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Among European universities, the Estonian University of Life Sciences ranks 16th in agriculture and forestry.
The Estonian University of Life Sciences has consistently remained among the world’s top institutions in agriculture and forestry for years, reaching as high as 37th place in 2023.
